Original lyrics
ENThe closest friend I ever had I lost today
They all think the bottle took his life away
But they're so wrong for drinking play the smallest part
Was too many teardrops from a broken heart
Oh how he loved her but I loved her too
And what I done almost any man would do
But losing her to me the end begin the start
With too many teardrops from a broken heart
She never really loved him he just couldn't see
And drinking was his way to kill her memory
But he wasn't strong enough to play the loser's part
Cry too many teardrops from a broken heart
And oh how he loved her...
Too many teardrops from a broken heart
