Testo di Before I'm Old

I was born at the turn of the century Lucky to be here at all Grew up way down in Mississippi When I heard Robert Johnson call I’ve seen a lot and I've done a lot Too young to lay down in that hole I’m just trying to fly high and not die Before I’m old Breaking rocks on a chain gang Up until the sun went down Too many souls are buried In the dirt poor delta ground I’ve seen a lot and I've done a lot Just too young to lay down in that hole I’m just trying to fly high and not die Before I’m old I put lightning back in bottles Poke rattlesnakes just for fun People say I got an old soul And I ain’t even twenty-one But I’ve seen a lot and I done a lot Just ain’t ready for the hole, no I ain't I’m just trying to fly high and not die I’m just trying to fly high and not die I’m just trying to fly high and not die Before I’m old
