Testo di Down to the River

There's no rest for me I move on And though I feel weak I feel strong And my heart starts beating stronger As the evil makes his way To the core of my existence And keeps all the good away Chorus Going down to the river Where I'll wash these blues away Going down to the river For my soul to find it's way Going down to the river To fulfill these empty days Down to the river my way Raise my hands for peace It's not there And though I feel I'm melting I'm aware But the days keep getting longer As I'm searching for the truth That will lead to my survival From my past and tainted youth Chorus Go on sentence me, for my wrong Then what's left of me, will keep holding on And on, on, on
