Testo di Pretending

We used to live together But now both live alone Still we're trying to be friends But we've both changed and gone Whenever we are talking Avoid each other's eyes Our superficial conversations Our candy-coated lies We're just pretending to be friends now And lovers can't be friends once there's an ending 'Cause no matter how hard we try We're still pretending Pretending So now you answer phones And read your magazines I still sing my songs And chase my rainbow dreams And though we've been in love It never seems to show 'Cause underneath our surface smiles Deep down inside we know We're just pretending to be friends now And lovers can't be friend once there's an ending 'Cause no matter how hard we try We're still pretending, pretending Pretending, pretending Pretending
