Testo di Fishing Spot

Late last night, I made up my mind Set my alarm for 5.05 Coleman full of coffee, rods in the truck Time to knock off a little tackle box dust Thirty minute drive, and walk down a hill To a little piece of water where the world stands still And I still get hung up on that oak tree Throw that Texas rig you showed me Learned a lot about life Wetting a line on a muddy riverbank with you We'd talk pickup trucks to Jesus Through Redman and Bocephus You always knew how to listen and just what to say And that's what brought me out here today Instead of standing at your stone, I'm sittin' on your rock Catching up with you at your fishin' spot Well, I know there's better places And I got a nice boat at the house But floating out there, filling up a live well Ain't what today's about I can still hear you laughing now When I get hung up on that oak tree Throw that Texas rig you showed me Learned a lot about life Wetting a line on a muddy riverbank with you We'd talk pickup trucks to Jesus Through Redman and Bocephus You always knew how to listen and just what to say And that's what brought me out here today Instead of standing at your stone, I'm sittin' on your rock Catching up with you at your fishin' spot They say, there ain't a bad day fishing Yeah, and I wish that was true The only bite I've had, I missed it But there's nothing like missing you And I get hung up on that oak tree Throw that Texas rig you showed me Learned a lot about life Wetting a line on a muddy riverbank with you Talkin' pickup trucks to Jesus Through Redman and Bocephus You always knew how to listen and just what to say And that's what brought me out here today Instead of standing at your stone, I'm sittin' on your rock Catching up with you at your fishin' spot
