Words by Mark Mohr / Music by Avion Blackman and Mark Mohr. Inspired by: Ephesians 4:31-32, Hebrews 12:15 Colossians 3:13, Luke 6:37, Ephesians 4:26 and Luke 11:4. "Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Colossians 3:13 I heard two fighting the other day as I was walking down the street / I overheard what they were saying / Too many hateful things / It was such a sad sight to see / Two lovers in enmity / Don't let the sun set on your anger / Forgive and remember no longer / PRE-CHORUS: Don't let the root of bitterness come between us / Don't let the root of bitterness defeat us / It's just one small step, one giant leap for mankind / Forgive and forget / Throw it all behind / CHORUS: Forgiveness / Throw it all behind / Forgiveness / Never to remind / Forgiveness / Throw it all behind / Forgiveness / Never press rewind / I saw a family the other day as I was flipping through TV / Before judge and jury / Over a little money / It's such a sad sight to see family turned to enemy / How did it get like this? / Is the big mystery / (PRE-CHORUS) / (CHORUS) / Forgiveness, forgive and forget (3X) Forgiveness, no time for regret.
