Blessed by the will of the gods
Came the prince lord of the rhein
From the kingdom of xanten
He was to enter a holy shrine
Wonders of another place and time
He forged his own sword nothung
As apprentice to a dwarf called mime
Blacksmith master of the nibelungs
From the mermaid guardians of the river
The dwarf alberich stole the rhein gold
As he molded the gold into a ring
With power to conquer the world
The gates of hell wait for him to come
Tricks of heart to siegfried were shown
Compelled to fight the saxon horde
For the love of a maiden unknown
Slayer of beasts, master of warlords
Dressed in a armor, bathed in dragon’s blood
The hero of many great deeds
Challenged by the giants clan
To battle for hegemony
In the land of the midnight sun
But a leaf got in the way
Leaving an uncovered spot in his skin
Where he could be easily slain
By the spear of treachery and sin
Out for a hunt in the deep forest
Treason would seal his sort
Death for the nibelung‘s treasure
Dealt in the burgundian court
Slayer of beasts, master of warlords
Dressed in a armor, bathed in dragon’s blood
