Chorus 1:
Resting in Jesus, I'm resting in Him
Putting my faith in His Word
Trusting, obeying my heavenly Friend
Resting in Jesus my Lord
When I'm weary
You refresh me
When I'm worried
You relieve me
When I'm wand'ring
You restore my soul (resting in Jesus)
When I'm tested
You empower me
When mistreated
You protect me
When I'm tempted
You provide for my soul (Jesus my Lord, Jesus my Lord)
Chorus 2:
Resting in Jesus, I'm resting in Him
Putting my faith in His Word (Jesus my Savior)
Trusting, obeying my heavenly Friend
Resting in Jesus my Lord (oh, but I'm resting in Him)
When I am drowning (drowning)
You revive me
When I'm defeated (rescue me)
You rescue me
And when deserted
You replenish my soul (You replenish my soul)
When I'm beaten
You defend me
When I'm bitter
You direct me
When I'm burdened
You deliver my soul (deliver me, deliver me)
Chorus 3:
(Lord I'm) Resting in Jesus, I'm resting in Him (rest in my Lord)
Putting my faith in His Word (follow His Word)
Trusting, obeying my heavenly Friend (heavenly Friend)
Resting in Jesus my Lord (resting in Him)
Chorus 4:
Resting in Jesus, I'm resting in Him (resting in Jesus, trusting my Lord)
Putting my faith in His Word (putting my faith in His Word, follow His Word)
Trusting, obeying my heavenly Friend (heavenly Friend)
Resting in Jesus my Lord (resting in Him)
Resting in Jesus my Lord
