I Was a Young Man Once 가사

I was a young man once I ran fast, life was hit and run I cursed the old men for what they had done Yea, I was a young man once Crazy love caught in the night Left her with child by the morning light I didn’t care what was wrong or right Cause I was a young man once Yea, I raised hell and I had big dreams I made promises I could not keep When I hurt love I cut deep I was a young man once I’m not a young man now It ain’t been easy keeping vows I still do things that ain’t allowed But I’m not a young man now I’m not an old man yet But age is chasing me with much regret I threw the dice and time won the bet But I’m not an old man yet Yea, I raised hell and I had big dreams I made promises I could not keep When I hurt love I cut deep I was a young man once You’re just an old man once An old man dreams of what he wants He wants the world to know that not too long ago He was a young man once I was a young man once
