sounding of the shofar at jericho 가사

On the Seventh Day They marched around the city At the seventh circuit ‘round The priest sounded the blast Throughout the sky The sound of the shofar Was heard by all Who returned with their battle-cry The walls collapsed around They charged into the breach The soldiers took the city No mercy was shown They devoted Jericho To The Lord And everything that lived Was put to the sword Was put to the sword Was put to the sword Fall! Jericho fall! By the sound of the shofar’s blows trumpeting through the city’s steadfast walls! Fall! Jericho fall! May he be cursed whoever dares and undertakes to rebuild this place! Fall! Jericho fall! By the sound of the shofar’s blows trumpeting through the city’s steadfast walls! Fall! Jericho fall! May he be cursed whoever dares and undertakes to rebuild this place! The city burned With everything in it The spoils of war were put Into the treasury They spared Rahab And her family For she hid the men they’d sent As spies onto the land Unknown to Israel But known to God The sin of Achan's greed Would doom the next attack At the rout to Ai The Lord revealed the sin Achan and all that he had Was stoned and laid to waste Achan laid to waste Achan laid to waste Fall! May he be cursed whoever dares that day!
