Original lyrics
ENOnce your journeyed into the wilderness
To listen to John the Prophet
You called "The baptiser"
He spoke to you of truth
He was a burning, shining light
And you were willing for a while
To follow him
Now one has come...
The lamp of the body is the eye
The lamp of the body is the eye
See the darkness shine
How great is the dark
See the dark
And are there not twelve hours of daylight
But if you walk by night
You will fall
