Текст песни Suppertime

Many years ago in days of childhood I used to play till evening shadows would come Then winding down that old familiar pathway I heard my mother call at setting sun Come home, come home, it's supper time The shadows lengthen fast Come home, come home, it's supper time We're going home at last Spoken: Some of the fondest memories of my childhood Were woven around supper time When mother used to call from the back steps Of the old home place Come on home, son, it's supper time Oh, how I'd love to hear those words once more But you know for me time has woven for me A realization of truth that's even more thrilling That when the call from the portals of glory To come on home, it's supper time Come home, come home, it's supper time The shadows lengthen fast Come home, come home, it's supper time We're going home at last We're going home at last Spoken: When all of Gods children shall gather round the table With the Lord, Himself At the greatest supper time of them all
