on a bad day in monterey
your heart will still be glad
and you won't worry about the rent
when you're sleeping in a tent
the hour glass will spoil fast
the sun gives up too soon
the night goes on, i'm in your arms
we're bare beneath the moon
on a bad day in morro bay
your kite will reach the clouds
and you won't worry about a thing
when you're sitting in a tree
k-i-s-s-i-n-g
(repeat chorus)
but this is not my home
because if it were so
tell me where would i go on vacation
