Текст песни The Writer

Before we start I want to try my own famous last words I don’t want to lie But it’s in my nature so be prepared For a romantic view An epic verse spoken Before I leave I want to bring you some higher thoughts The best of man kind A handful of treasures the top of my soul An ecstatic truth contained in a poem I won’t let you down I won’t let you down Pardon If I can’t convince I’m so devout to my audience I’m doing all that I can I’m sorry If you feel disappointed My romantic view It’s meant for a few Few of you Only a few I won’t let you down Just a few of you I won’t let you down Just a few So be prepared For a romantic view The top of my soul An ecstatic truth
