Текст песни Ol' George Stopped Drinkin' Today

Me and the bottle have always been friends Oh we've had a few ol' nasty fights but the bottle would always win And when I go to answer that final curtain call I can hear these words being whispered by all Ol' George stopped drinkin' today They're all gonna gather round me Lord I wish they could hear me say No more income taxes no more bills to pay Ol' Jones stopped drinkin' today Down in Mississippi the highway patrol Will read it in the paper and say God rest his soul No more will he wobble down life's highway Cause Jones stopped drinkin today They'll say he had a problem dealin' with his mind He just couldn't seem to make it anywhere on time But when the roll is called up yonder and heaven I know You can bet the possum is gonna show Ol' George stopped drinkin' today... Ol' Jones stopped drinkin' today
