Текст песни The First Song That Wasn't The Blues

It's not easy to forget all the heartaches And the sad songs I have known in the past Lord, I've heard a line of songs, the kind of songs That make you want to sing along, but they just don't last When I started singin' with the lovin' that you're bringin' Me and you, I changed my tune You're the first song that I've ever sung That wasn't the blues It's so easy to remember all the livin', lovin', Haunting memories, you sing to me Words that used to be so hard for me to sing Now come so easily, with harmony Every note I'm singin' comes down like a ray of sunshine On the dew, just for you You're the first song that I've ever sung That wasn't the blues Oh, you are the first girl in my world that never made me cry And it seems like a lifetime since these eyes Of mine have been dry Now that you're holdin' me I feel that happy love song Commin' through, mmmm, thank you You're the first song that I've ever sung That wasn't the blues Oh, you are the first girl in my world that never made me cry And it seems like a lifetime since these eyes Of mine have been dry Now that you're holdin' me I feel that happy love song Commin' through, mmmm, thank you You're the first song that I've ever sung That wasn't the blues You're the first song that I've ever sung That wasn't the blues
