Original lyrics
ENWhen I was young I fell astray.
I never dreamed that they would take me away.
But now I'm gone, so long gone
From here, oh from here.
Maybe I'll head back to the west.
Where I can ease my mind and rest.
I will be that ball and chain.
And go, go back from where I came.
Oh the sun never shines. (x3)
On me, oh on me.
Oh Devil, let them be.
No, you've already taken me.
I'll move on but I often try.
To get, get you off my mind.
Oh the sun never shines. (x3)
On me, oh on me.
Oh the sun never shines.
The sun never shines. (x3)
Oh the sun never shines. (x3)
On me, oh on me.
