The Next Best Thing lyrics

Here today Gone tomorrow Thinking ahead to the next best thing Living against the grain of the here and now We never learn We never let ourselves Why don't we travel with the wind And pretend that the branches are waving Why don't we let ourselves unwind 'Til our hearts begin to sing Like the kite at the end of its string We're not sure what this is or why it's here But we're glad it is Turn your back and sure enough that thing is gone For good Why don't we travel with the wind And pretend that the branches are waving Why don't we let ourselves unwind 'Til our hearts begin to sing Like the kite at the end of its string
