Mirror That Lies to Me کے بول

I look at myself and see a star The mirror disagrees Every wrinkle is a protest Against the time that closes in on me I want to be seen, not judged But the gaze of others is a sharp blade A mirror that lies to me Is better than someone else's truth I'd rather have my own fiction Than be just another idea Every morning, a new rehearsal Of who I'm supposed to be But the glass always reflects back Only the person I don't want to see I want to be seen, not judged But others' gazes are like sharp blades Mirror that lies to me It's better than other people's truth I'd rather have my own fiction Than be just another idea Who am I without an audience? No one has ever asked A mirror that lies to me It's better than other people's truth I'd rather have my own fiction Than be just another idea
