It's dark and I'm cold,
Struggling with life,
Trying to understand everything I've been told,
I don't know why,
I don't ask how,
I may never know,
It doesn't matter now,
All this time I've failed to find a reason I go on,
A reason for this life,
One day things seemed so bright,
I continued onward for sometime,
onward into the light,
but once I arrived at my destination,
in all my spite,
things that were once so bright had turned to black,
I had lost my sight,
Now here I am on my own,
Trying to find what I had once known,
Here I am,
I am all alone without a hand to hold in my own,
I'm so scared,
I'm so lost,
I have tried and I have fought,
But in the end all I've got is this mind and all my thoughts,
So as I send them from me to you,
Now only one question matters,
You as in who?
