Never Thought That This Would Happen 歌词

Beating the drum all night, dancing naked round a fire Leaving trouble behind, swimming the the water We found the tent with the flashlight, we were looking out for a hide out When you're praying for no strings, sometimes you get tied down I never thought that this would happen You got all weird after the weekend Sometimes you make out with an old friend I'm rounding first and I'm sliding into second She could never hold her tongue much, and when I bit her lip hard Expecting some review like: 2 out of 5 stars But in a moment she revealed that she was no different We were just kid's nervous breathing showing some forgiveness I never thought that this would happen You got all weird after the weekend Sometimes you make out with an old friend I'm rounding first and I'm sliding into second If you don't know, then I don't know how these things go In your wooly socks and birkenstocks "What will they say about us?" At that hour of the evening The night will carry on without us If we have to play one card We can say we both blacked out And friends seem to trust this They believe this silly kind of cop out I never thought that this would happen You got all weird after the weekend Sometimes you make out with an old friend I'm rounding first and I'm sliding into second If you don't know, then I don't know how these things go
