I'm Not Ready 歌词

Dear Suzy I know it seems kinda strange That I'm writing instead of Talking to you in person I just feel it's the only way To make my point without you trying To change the subject all the time You're sixteen now But we've been goin' out quite a while I swear, I'm never gonna leave you I love you so much I know you love me too I just think it's time to prove it We're not kids anymore We're probably the only teenage couple in the world Still just holding hands and making out in the movies Everyone's starting to talk Besides, I really don't see what's the big deal All our friends do it Just because they do Doesn't mean that I will do I don't care what they say Well, this is just between me and you Try and understand That I think we should take our time Since we first began This has always been on my mind I'm just not ready For this kind of relationship I think we should take it slow Oh, boy, let's not rush in If you don't agree with me I guess it means the end Please don't try persuading me 'Cause, boy, I won't give in If you can respect me when I tell you, boy That I'm not ready, that will show (that will show) That you're for real (that you're for real) If you don't respect me when I tell you, boy That I'm not ready, I will know (I will know) You don't care how I feel You tell me that you love me so And that you'll never let me go (never let me go) But for sure, boy, we can never know Please don't be that way Swore you were different from the rest There's nothing you can say That will make me go against my wishes I'm just not ready For this kind of relationship Just think we should take it slow And we should not rush in If you won't agree with me I'm sure this is the end And don't try to persuade me 'Cause, boy, I won't, no, I won't give in (Will you respect me when I tell you, boy) Will you respect me when I tell you Will you respect me when I tell you, boy I'm not ready?
