The Defenders of Thermopylae 歌词

480 B.C. the Persian armies were marching out for their fourth campaign in Europe The first time they were drawn back by Scythian tribes from the north In their second attempt, Poseidon the mighty god of sea sank their entire fleet On their third march, Persian armies were humiliated by brave Athenian forces Now! For one more time destiny called the brave ones to stand united like brothers Their Gods, their Fatherland, their Ancestors commanded them to serve their glorious land and to be united under one banner Seven hundred fearless Thespians Three hundred Spartan royal guards All with souls crafted in freedom against the dark serpent from the east Blinded by the blaze of glory, raising their swords and their fists You could see them preparing for the battle to come.. You could feel the fire burning in Sparta's warriors. You could sense the aura of the battle rising.. You could hear them praying to the gods However, no one could conceive the size of the bravery to come.. Almighty ZEUS of eternal Olympus! Send your thunderbolts to your sons! Carniun Apollon! Grant us with wrath to eradicate our enemies! Crimson eyed God Ares! Clang your sword on your shield, and let us hear your roar! The one of a thousand lions. Plouton! Open the mystic gates of Hades and accept our gallant souls among, with the pitiful barbarians we bring to feed you! This is your home good for those who call The Defenders of Thermopylae
