Lucky Number 7 歌词

I knew a man of superstition But believed in God and all his wisdom With a cross across his chest He carried on He would swear to me One broke his heart Severing his soul with the blade of a knife On the 13th of a Friday's night Don't you ever trust in a full Moon Or you'll end up like me real soon He crossed his fingers As this tale was told He's been to hell and back Fighting all his demons With an ol' black cat crossing along his way Been hanging by a thread Warding off this evil Now, my friend, your life will never be the same I've never seen no broken mirror His contradictions made him a real sinner Knock on wood That's how the story goes He'd bet his life he tried the reaper's reason For all mistakes and all his treason Right hand to God That's why his momma's gone For one week's time Tried a four-leaf clover Still no luck when the night was over And even the father rested on the seventh day He's been to hell and back Fighting all his demons With an ol' black cat crossing along his way Been hanging by a thread Warding off this evil Now, my friend, your life will never be the same He's been to hell and back Fighting all his demons With an ol' black cat crossing along his way Been hanging by a thread Warding off this evil Now, my friend, your life will never be the same Now, my friend, your life will never be the same Now, my friend, your life will never be the same It's been told he ain't around here no more It's been said he's figured out his life for sure I've never heard of such an ill-fated son of a gun That ole reckless gambler might have just come undone
