Songtext von Soiltear

I walk where fallen branches sigh Where soil weeps under ashen sky Its wounds still bleed beneath the frost And echo all the dreams I’ve lost The nightwind carries ghostly cries Through hollow trees and hollow eyes Each step I take, the roots pull near They drink my thoughts, they taste my fear Soiltear beneath my feet A grave where dusk and memory meet The stars look down with distant scorn And leaves conceal what once was warm Soiltear beneath my feet A grave where dusk and memory meet The stars look down with distant scorn And leaves conceal what once was warm The moss has swallowed every name The earth forgets, but feels the same Its silence speaks of loss and pain Where rain once fell like tears again The thorns have grown through every year They pierce my mind with quiet sneer Still drawn below, too far to know The thorns have grown through every year They pierce my mind with quiet sneer Still drawn below, too far to know Soiltear beneath my feet A grave where dusk and memory meet The stars look down with distant scorn And leaves conceal what once was warm Soiltear beneath my feet A grave where dusk and memory meet The stars look down with distant scorn And leaves conceal what once was warm
